I hadn’t been to a Wimpy since the 1970s. When I was growing up this was the only place to get a hamburger and a milkshake as there was no McDonald’s or Burger King around. Anyway, came in here on a whim to see if it still looked and smelt the same. Verdict - it smelt completely different - much better in fact - and the food was better too than I remembered it, so here’s proof things have improved in life. I ordered a veggie bean burger which came in a bun that was kind of wholesome tasting rather than sweet like other places - this was a real plus for me. Unfortunately they were heavy handed with the chilli sauce so my burger was a too hot to fully taste and enjoy. My son ordered a meat burger and sweet potato fries which were really good. The decor here is not very nice but the staff are lovely - very friendly. It’s right beside Wetherspoons and the Odeon which should also tell you something. All in all I’d say it’s a great place to drop in as a family to refuel. The milkshakes are also very good.

2nd visit in a month & again top service & value for money. Bluebell took order...polite, smiling & really nice. Charlie ,the big boss..(who I found out frm bluebell) cooked & served order..again smiling & professional. Food delicious...i had takeaway burger & took it dwn to eat on beach & it was still warm. Will return.

What a great nostalgic experience! Havn’t been to a Wimpy outside of South Africa and it was great to experience the same cleanliness and friendly staff in this Wimpy. Food was just as I remember it with delicious milkshakes. Will definitely be back!

Seit den 80ern war ich nicht mehr in einem, weil in Wien "die anderen zwei" Burgerketten das Kommando übernommen hatten. Darum war ich mehr als happy hier in Brighton wieder ein Wimpy's zu entdecken. Wunderbaren Breakfast Optionen für den großen und kleinen Hunger, ausgesprochen aufmerksame Bedienung (danke, Alice!) und eine wirklich ausgezeichnete 80er Jahre Playlist (Kompliment an den Küchenchef 😉) verhalfen uns zu einem angenehmen Start in den Tag. Außerdem eine großartige Alternative zu den großen amerikanischen Ketten. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
